Chhatrapati Sahuji Maharaj Government Polytechnic Balrampur was established in the year 2010. The institute is situated in Utraula Balrampur in surahiya dewar village post Mahuadhani in district of Balrampur. This institute is centerlly cum state funded institute. It is situated approx. 40km from headquarter Balrampur nearest bus station is in utraula tehsil.

In this institute student gets 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, production. One more branch electronics engineering is proposed to run in future. The institute is owned by Government of Uttar Pradesh & affiliated to the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh. Government Polytechnic – Balrampur provides Diploma program to the students.
